By arranging a planned charitable gift, the charity of your choice will benefit from your gift, while you or your estate will benefit from tax savings. To receive a charitable donation tax credit in Canada, you must be liable for Canadian income taxes and make a gift to a registered Canadian charity. The rules are a little bit different for corporations than for individuals and trusts, so if you would like to make a donation from your medical professional corporation, it’s especially important to consult your tax advisor.
