Q1 2018 Global Investment Viewpoint

After strong start to the first quarter of 2018, market volatility made a comeback. We don’t expect this to be the end of the bull market, but we do expect more volatility in the weeks and months ahead. The global economic backdrop remains strong, however several events are causing short-term volatility, from American-Chinese trade, to data usage at Facebook. We’ve been planning and positioning our portfolios with volatility in mind and we will continue to actively monitor the markets and make adjustments to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
