Exclusive agreement will support the professional, social and personal advancement
of women physicians
MD Financial Management Inc. (MD) and Scotiabank are pleased to announce a five-year collaboration with the Federation of Medical Women of Canada (FMWC) to support the professional, social and personal advancement of women physicians across the country. This collaboration is a renewal of the collaboration MD previously enjoyed with FMWC.
“We strongly believe in a future of equal opportunities in the Canadian medical landscape,” says MD President and CEO Daniel Labonté. “Our unique position to support the Federation’s mission will help bring opportunities for personal and professional development for women in medicine, promoting their well-being and, beyond them, the well-being of all Canadians.”
“Scotiabank is proud to collaborate with the FMWC to propel women physicians’ advancement in their professional and financial lives," says Erin Griffiths, Senior Vice President, Client Solutions and Direct Investing and Executive Champion of the Scotiabank Women Initiative. “Building an environment in which every member is empowered to reach their fullest potential is the very foundation of any successful organization.”
As exclusive financial services partners, MD and Scotiabank will sponsor FMWC events and initiatives and provide travel and medical student awards to build networking opportunities between women physicians at the local and national levels.
“The Federation of Medical Women of Canada and MD Financial Management have long had a mutually beneficial partnership. With this agreement, the Federation looks forward to continuing our work together to provide education opportunities to our members for years to come,” says Dr. Charissa Patricelli, President, FMWC.
