Important information about a possible disruption to the postal service

As you may have heard, there might be a labour disruption at Canada Post starting as early as July 2, 2016. If that happens, we can expect an interruption in mail delivery.

If the mail service is disrupted, you can make sure you continue to receive your statements, trade/transaction confirmations, and any other important MD documents by signing up for an online account and requesting that your mailing preference be set to “Online Only.” Signing up is easy and takes only a couple of minutes. You can sign up for an online account by calling an MD Online Support Specialist at 1 877 431-0330. Specialists are available Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.

If you already have an online account, please ensure your mail preference is set to “Online Only” to make sure you’ll receive email notifications whenever documents are waiting for you. To choose online-only delivery, simply log in to your secure account, select “Mail Preferences” from the “Welcome” drop-down menu and choose “Online Only.” Then, select “Save.” Once the disruption to the postal service is over and mail is moving correctly again, you can reset your mail preference to “Mail and Online” if you wish to start receiving paper statements again.
