MD Financial Management Employee Awarded CPA Ontario’s Prestigious Fellow Designation

MD Financial Management (MD) is thrilled to congratulate Christine Allison, who has been elected as a Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) Fellow (FCPA).

Christine joins the ranks of an outstanding group of CPA members who have earned exceptional distinction both within and beyond their professional roles.

In her dual role as Vice President of Finance and MD Private Trust Business Support, as well as President and CEO of MD Life Insurance Company, Christine serves as an integral member of the senior management team. She leverages her broad experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing and financial management to contribute to the development of MD’s strategic goals.

“In many ways exceeding the challenging requirements for the designation, Christine's accomplishments make her highly deserving of this honour,” said John Riviere, CFO and Executive Vice President of Organization Management of MD. “We are very fortunate to have Christine as a valued and long-standing member of the MD family. We join her friends and family in congratulating her on this well-deserved and prestigious designation.”

Christine’s contributions to the profession include serving on CPA Canada’s Board of Evaluators and Evaluation of Experience Committee, while also taking part in CPA Ontario’s Mentorship Program. In addition, Christine has also been involved in the Uniform Evaluation, replaced in 2015 by the Common Final Examination, for over 30 years, in the role of marker, team leader and supervisor. Christine’s charitable activities have included board and committee work with the Ontario Lung Association, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation and the University of Ottawa’s Telfer Capital Fund.

The FCPA designation was designed to formally recognize those members who have rendered exceptional services to the profession, and whose achievements in their careers and contributions in the community have earned them distinction and brought honour to the profession.
