MD Financial Management Inc. and Scotiabank team up with the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology

MD Financial Management Inc. (MD) and Scotiabank today announced a new, three-year agreement with the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) that will support professional development programs and research opportunities that enable gastroenterologists to be more successful in their practice.

Our partnership will help facilitate essential clinical training and the highest quality research opportunities for these specialists throughout their career. This in turn will help ensure that Canadians continue to receive high-quality digestive health care.

“MD and Scotiabank recognize the unique circumstances that face physician specialists, including gastroenterologists, at the different stages of their career,” said Daniel Labonté, President and CEO, MD. “We strive to help gastroenterologists access the high-quality professional and personal development opportunities they need to advance their skills and be leaders in patient care.”

As the exclusive financial services partners of the CAG, MD and Scotiabank also provide educational content, advice and financial planning solutions tailored to the specific needs of gastroenterologists and their families.

“The CAG is pleased to be able to embark on this new partnership with Scotiabank and MD,” says CAG President Dr. Kevin Waschke. “This partnership will support the CAG’s strategic vision to be the leader in promoting digestive health for all Canadians. We thank Scotiabank and MD for sharing this vision and we look forward to working with them in the years to come.”

Through relationships with 39 organizations, MD and Scotiabank are committed to providing financial support and educational resources to Canada’s physicians and their families. Together, MD and Scotiabank share values that help build a more sustainable healthcare system.
