How Can I See My Investment Performance and Fees?

December 16, 2016
Financial institutions are now required to provide more detail for investors on the fees and compensation they collect, and on investment performance. At MD, we are going beyond the minimum requirements to provide you with information about all the fees you pay—not because we have to, but because it’s the right thing to do. In compliance with new disclosure requirements, MD Management Limited and MD Private Investment Counsel have developed two new annual reports. Clients will receive these reports for the first time in January, within a couple of weeks of receiving their 2016 year-end statement(s), and annually thereafter: • The Investment Performance Report provides a snapshot of how your investments have performed over the previous calendar year, after costs have been deducted. It helps you determine whether you are on track to meet your financial goals. • The Fees and Compensation Report provides a summary of your total investment costs over the past year. It includes the administrative costs of your account, commissions paid on securities transactions and any compensation received by MD for these services. Together, these reports provide a 360 view of your portfolio, its performance and the costs of your investments. Let’s take a closer look.
